What with eight hours of sleep, space cake, and a few hits in my system, by the second morning I felt significantly more prepared to take on Amsterdam and all that went with it. And so the first thing we did, along with breakfast, was get high. Then we rented bikes, and then we got high again. Every time we came out of a coffeeshop the lock systems on the bikes got increasingly harder to navigate, and by 10 am or so I was throwing my lock on the ground in indignance and yelling about conspiracies.

"They're all in it together!" I yelled. "The locksmiths, coffeeshop owners, and bicycle thiefs! Making a RACKET off of stoned, idiot tourists!"

Then later I rode my bike right into the groove of the tram track and fell off, so that didn't help anything. Unfortunately, this was the one day that Bonne had decided to bring along her video camera.
